The Kent and Medway Structure Plan (KMSP) was adopted on 6 July 2006 and accompanying Supplementary Planning Guidance ( SPG ) was adopted on 13 July 2006. The adopted KMSP files can be viewed below. On 6 July 2006, a formal Notice of Intention to Adopt the Plan was published. The six week period under which the Plan can be challenged on legal grounds expired on 17 August 2006.

• Notice of Adoption (6 July 2006)

On 20 April and 25 May 2006, Medway and Kent Councils resolved to adopt the Plan for development control and plan-making purposes, following completion of the statutory procedures for adoption. The Councils gave the formal 28 day notice of their intention to adopt the Plan on 1 June 2006.
